In the hills above Lake Windermere sits a charming little cottage in amongst a garden bursting with flora. It's name is Hill Top. For years it was the home of one Beatrix Potter and since seeing its beauty in the film about her I was gasping to visit. The lakes always seemed so far away but whist I was living in Manchester, this awe inspiring landscape was that much closer. In the days after graduation back in July, Helen and I made the drive to Cumbria. The sun was shining, the water was glimmering and we adventured around the twisty-twiny roads to Miss Potter's house which was the backdrop to many of her delightful stories. Across the lake by boat we sat on the shoreline and admired the scenery. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world I have seen.
