Last night I was invited to a Disappearing Dining Club by my friend Lauren. She had helped organise this first pop up restaurant event and it was held in a quirky little pub, the Queen's Head near King's Cross. I didn't know anyone else there but we were sat at a great table with some really fun people and had hilarious conversation all night long.
The night was long indeed, as the food came out quite slowly - it was their first night so understandable - but it was delicious once it reached us. We had battered crab, cauliflower veloute, monkfish cheeks, pigeon breast (delicious!), watermelon granita and chocolate mousse to finish!
If you ever see one of these pop-up restaurants around, I'd recommend going along. They serve great food and sitting on tables with new people, who knows who you might meet!
What a fun night, sounds tasty too!!!
