Cryogenically Frozen

Camden is full of the weird and wonderful, and today we wandered into the chin chin laboratory at lunchtime. They freeze the ice cream in 40 seconds using liquid nitrogen! The process was explained by the gentleman above and he was very right in that it would be the smoothest ice cream I'll ever have. Chocolate with raspberry sauce and popping candy. Definitely pay a visit!

Ice Blast

The last couple of days we've been making ice cream and sorbet's with Ma's new ice cream maker - what a great invention! It's so easy to do and I'm just thinking of more exciting flavours to try. I remembered cutting out and keeping something about Lola's on Ice, a psychadelic ice cream van, and the above image is the lemon balm and poppy seed ice cream (I've had this stuck up on my uni room wall all year!) I may try a variation this... and lots more too.

Beach Trip

When the clouds decided to clear this afternoon, on an impulse Rosh and I decided to go to Whitstable! I love it, so quaint and charming! We wandered down the high street and went into a couple of my favourite shops.

First, Take the Plunge which sells all sorts of gifty bits and pieces and then Frank a place for British designed and made arts and crafts. I'm on their mailing list and I love to see what new art works, books, ceramics and so on they have in - it gives me lots of design inspiration! Before heading to the front we stopped off at Sundae Sundae for ice creams. What I love about the shops in Whitstable, especially these three, is the vintage yet modern take that the shops have on seaside design.


Perhaps one day I'll live here in a house like this...


Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!
