Almost Easter

Just a little snap of a piece of lace I picked up on our day trip to Calais in January. I'm illustrating one of the essays I have for next week, takes just as long as writing it! I'm going home for 5 days over Easter to see family and friends - I can't wait! Food, cinema, shopping trip in London, CHOCOLATE! But for now, it's back to making my essay look pretty...

Lace and Polished Concrete

Today we made a day trip to Calais to visit the lace museum. I find it so strange that we can so easily pop across the Channel to another country for the day. The museum was fantastic, great architecture - the combination of old and new, industrial and delicate, pure white and fluroescent lights. For us it has provided a great kick start as to how we should go about designing our own textile museum, so begins the hard work...!
